Setting up a new user for Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 with RPC over HTTP (NEW SET UP)

These instructions assume that your operating system is Windows XP (Home or Pro) and that you have successfully installed Microsoft Office 2003 or at least Microsoft Outlook 2003.

When setting up a new user account in Outlook 2003 for the first time it's possible to follow the account wizard within Outlook. After the first run (depending on options set) a Mail icon may appear under Control Panel. If you are unable to use this version due to an error complaining about Outlook running, please try the instructions found here.

After creating a new user account on your computer or  while running Outlook 2003 for the first time you will be prompted automatically to configure an email account. To start this process, clicck the Start button and run Microsoft Office Outlook. If the icon is not located as shown, find it under "All Programs".
