How to I end a non-responsive program?
Simply log off.
Do not disconnect. This leaves the program running - when you reconnect it will still be there.
Do not use CTRL+ALT+DEL -- This brings up task manager on your local computer - not your server session.
Click the Start Menu, and select Log Off. Applications may display error messages, or warnings that they are not going to exit, be patient. After a couple minutes, you will be presented with a dialog giving you the option to End Now. Select this option and log off should continue as normal. When you log back in, you should see a clean desktop.
