Changes to HTS local drive redirection

Due to reported disconnection problems, we have temporarily disabled drive redirection on HTS connections. The effect of this is that users will no longer be able to see their local windows drives under the server session.

Problems reported included delays during file opens and saves, as well as disconnections and crashing sessions.

REVISED 2005.03.31

Crashing seems to be eliminated, we have re-enabled this service. Please avoid connecting local drives when not needed, and in particular, avoid use of this option when you are using a system with slow disks, disks that go to sleep (some notebook configs) or USB based drives. Other methods exist to allow access to local computer files including using the HTS account's FTP support for large uploading and downloading options. We may disable this service again in the future after distributing documentation on using the FTP process and obtaining user feedback.
