CCTS finds misleading contract complaints surge
The Commission for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (CCTS) has found that while the overall complaints against telecom companies have decreased, complaints about misleading contracts have surged. It is reported that misleading contracts are the second most common complaint behind billing errors. Often contracts are very long multi-paged legal documents that can be very difficult for the lamen to understand. These legal documents can include misleading clauses that make customers feel like they have been tricked into a certain type of agreement.
