Outlook 2010 whitelisting senders

This information applies to emails arriving in the junk mail folder that shouldn't be, meaning the sender is known to you but for some reason they are not in your contacts or Global address list containing all your internal company email addresses. You can add the desired email address to the 'white list', meaning you will be able to send and receive email without having to add them to the Global address list or your contacts.

1. In the “Home” tab go to “Junk”, click on “Junk E-mail Options” and open the “Safe Sender” tab:

2. Click on “Add” then enter the email of the contact you would like to whitelist.

3. You will then see the email address or domain in the safe senders list. Add other email addresses if required by repeating step 2.

4. If you receive messages from a mailing list or distribution list you can add the email address to the Safe Recipients list.
