How to View Your Shared Folders in Outlook

Before you can accept some ones inbox sharing, you must first be delegated permission by the person whose inbox you wish to have access to. The instructions to delegate permissions can be found here. Assuming the delegation process has been completed, you may make it so that you can view the other persons mailbox by following these steps. Note that these steps will accept any permissions that have been delegated to you by the account you choose.

1. Select "File" and go to "Account Settings."

2. Select "Account Settings."

3. This dialogue box will pop up, select "Change..." (circled in red).

4. A new dialogue box will pop up. Be sure that your User Name is your email typed correctly. Select "More Settings" (circled in red).

5. Another dialogue box will appear, select the "Advanced" option at the top left-hand side, beside "General."

6. The will be a white space beneath "Open these additional Mailboxes," beside it there is a button labelled "Add..." select this.

7. In the white space under "Add mailbox," type in the email address of whom delegated you permission to share inboxes or folders.

8.You are now back to the previous dialogue box. You may add another mailbox by repeating steps six and seven. Once you have chosen all of the emails addresses whose inboxes you would like to open select "Apply" and "OK."

9. Now you will see the other inbox as a folder you have been given access to.
