Correcting Address/Contact Cache in Outlook

A common user error that occurs is when there is a bad address in the Contacts/Address Cache

The way to fix this problem is to:

  1. Start a new e-mail.

  2. Start typing the e-mail address of the contact.

  3. Find the Bad address and highlight it. (using arrow keys)

  4. When BAD one is highlighted press the DELETE key.

  5. Then correct the address/contact in the address/contacts book.

  6. Create a new message

  7. Start typing the contact's name

  8. Press Ctrl+K. This checks the address/contacts book.

  9. Complete sending the message to save or update the cache.
