Frequently Asked Question

How do I compress or 'Zip' a file?

If you are looking for more advanced features than what the basic compression tool in Windows offers, take a look at 7Zip here.

If not, here is how to create a standard zip file.

1. Right click on the desired file.

3. Depending on the size of the file, you may see a progress bar. The compressed or 'Zipped' file will appear like this.

The compression utility that comes standard in windows based operating systems will take a 12 or 13 MB file and compress it down to 9 or 10 MB (approximately!). There are programs available that will provide a greater amount of compression; however, at this time, they will not be available as part of the Hosted Terminal Services package.
