What is a "Soft-Cap"?
A "Soft-Cap" is the per-Seat quota in our metering system. The metering system is in place to maintain system quality for all users, and prevent abuse by people who may be running call-center type operations or other high-load users. Customers with multiple Seats are metered for total usage across all their Seats when compared with the total Soft-Cap. Exceeding the soft-cap on an account plan results in no immediate charges; however, if you exceed more than double the soft-cap on your plan we will contact you to make sure there are no mistakes and possibly upgrade your service plan. Users who exceed their soft-cap two months in a row will have the option of increasing their Soft-Cap or to pay overage charges if they recur.
